Miss Rose

River Room – Co-Lead

I started being a toddler teacher in 2017. I really enjoy teaching children and giving them a happy day. Their smiles are everything to me. I have been committed to create a smooth transition in the classroom and teaching kids to be more independent. I also focus on learning by doing that. This experience allows the opportunity for children to go through the learning cycle that involves extended effort and reflection. Trying everything is our daily task.

In my free time I enjoy reading, writing and traveling. Travel makes me happier and relieves stress. Without a doubt, I am a cheerful and optimistic person.

Miss Ashley Simmons

River Room – Co-Lead

My name is Ashley, and I have over six years of experience in early childhood education. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children from 6 weeks through pre-K, including as a lead teacher with infants, waddlers, and preschoolers. While I truly enjoy working with children of all ages, infants and toddlers have always had a special place in my heart, and I’m so excited to be part of the River Room.

I graduated from Central Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Law and Justice. One of my favorite parts of working with toddlers is watching them become more confident as they learn new skills and discover what they’re capable of. I’m grateful to be part of those early years and look forward to helping each child learn and grow every day.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking and baking, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Mariners. I’m excited to be part of the CLC community and look forward to getting to know all of our wonderful families!

Miss Maleia

River Room – Assistant Teacher

As a member of the Creative Learning Center, I am excited to bring and implement smiles into the children every single day!

While attending Bellevue College for my Associate in Arts &camp; Science, I simultaneously spent the past three and a half years gaining experience with children pre-school and up. I am passionate about creating a nurturing environment where every child feels heard and respected. I believe in the importance of honoring each child’s unique journey, furthermore knowing that being a part of their growth and development, in many ways teaches me valuable life lessons and deepens the embodiment of love and trust. Contributing to a community that values curiosity, empathy, and the abilities of the little ones brings me joy.

Although my week consists of school and work, I enjoy finding time to play soccer and basketball, but most of all hanging out with the people I love. Moreover, lots of time is spent baking cookies and being a foodie 🙂

Miss Giada

River Room – Assistant Teacher

Hello! I’m Giada, an undergraduate student at the University of Washington pursuing a dual degree in Early Childhood Family Studies and Political Science. Growing up in a family where women have taken prominent roles in education and childcare, I’ve always admired those who nurture and support young minds. This admiration has led me to immerse myself in opportunities related to childcare and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) education. I’m particularly fascinated by Montessori programs like CLC, which emphasize humanity, creativity, and community.

In my free time, you can find me working on my photography portfolio, bouldering with friends, seeing live music, playing tennis, or exploring the beautiful parks around Washington!
